japanese tradition of sestubun .

Hello!! today is February 3 day in which japan has events of called [setsubun].

What is [setsubun]is ?

ok!! i will try to explain this !!






japan has 4 seasons that winter , spring , summer , autumn . it’s  been said evil things comes in changing between each of seasons .  especally it’s been said evil comes in easy between winter and spring .  that ’s why they have events of [setsubun ] in this seasons.

                                                                    
 They make image against evil things . their image is ,, evil has red or blue skin and 1 or 2 horn. they wear tiger pattern 's pants ,and they has weapon that is called [kon-bou]  it 's been called [oni]

events performance is ,, at first one of them disguised [oni ] with using face mask and wearing outfit of looks similar [oni].

 thay throw soy beans against disguised oni so that scare away oni from their living .

it's said , it comes good luck after scare away oni .

the end of throw beans , they eat dropped beans, as same number of age myself plus one beans .

 they eat with plus one beans which means wishing to get good luck .


 i used to perform this [mame- maki] when i was child . but i don't do this anymore . but if i have children, i will perform this events in order to let them know about traditional japan things .

on same day , we tend to eat [futo-maki] that is called [ehou- maki].  this things started out from osaka area of japan then spread throughout of japan .

[ehou-maki] means , if you eat this at once with good luck direction .
what "good luck direction"is? ,,there is one kind of god which name "tokutoku-jin" . it's said he  is moving staying place each of year ,that 's why  we have to confirm each year 's good luck direction for eating this .

then ,, i bought ehou-maki at convenience store . umm,,, those are very mini size  !!

 those has several taste ,, normal seafood , beef

oh my gosh ,,essentially,, i have to cook those as nice wive. but i have nothing energy to cook .
